I know. I know. I know. I promised one post a day for a week and I didn’t do it. I messed up, but you have to understand that there was a lot going on in the Riley household the last week. I had to work, practice for my driving exam (which I passed, so watch out streets of Western Austria) and go to football practice. I know it’s unexcusable (I kinda feel like a steroid user apologizing in front of the press right now, I got the sunglasses on and everything – Big Papi style!), but I’ll make it up to you. I’ll think of something so mind-boggling it will make your head explode. So there. In the words of the one and only Governator: “I’ll be back!”

Apology

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009So this is it. My first step into the wild and steadily flowing world of blogging. Hopefully the first of many in my quest to someday become a renowned sportswriter.
Basically what I will try to do with this blog is to write from the fan’s perspective (hence the name of the page – duh!) and find new and captivating angles to sports-related topics. Since I am a fan myself, of course, often times stories will revolve around my favorite teams such as the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots.
Some of you might have already noticed that I am heavily influenced by my favorite writer Bill Simmons aka. The Sports Guy.
Nevertheless this isn’t an attempt to copy him or his style, he will merely be an inspiration.
So let’s see how this goes and I hope at least some people will enjoy it.
